I'm using the linux bridge configuration trying the Self Service Network Option (https://docs.openstack.org/neutron/train/install/controller-install-ubuntu.html (https://docs.openstack.org/neutron/tr...)).

I thought that br-ex was a ovs thing, not needed with linux bridge. I'll check what you said.

Thx

Hi all,

I've installed OS Train in two ubuntu hosts (172.20.37.0/24): Controller and Compute. I've configured a provider network 172.20.38.0/24, a private 10.0.0.0/24 network and a router between them. Finally I've created a instance in the private network assigning it a floating IP.

Using ip netns commands I could see that my router can ping both instances IPs: 10.0.0.X and the floating one, but router can't ping controller host. Of course, I can't reach instance from controller, only through openstack console.

Security group is configured allowing ICMP, SSH and so on.

I suspect that my problem is related with the controller local network and the provider network connection/configuration but I don't know what can be happening.

Any idea? Thx in advance
