2015-02-17 16:48:17 -0500 asked a question replace wordpress heat template default domain name with load-balancer ip

Hi anyone know if it is possible to use the load-balancer ip as the default domain within the wordpress-multi rackspace cloud orchestration file? Trying to find a way to have temporary urls instead of switching the ips on my staging domain names. Would it be something like below?

  domain:
    label: Site Domain
description: Domain to be used with this WordPress site
    type: string
    default: { get_attr: [load_balancer] }
    constraints:
    - allowed_pattern: "^[a-zA-Z0-9.-]{1,255}.[a-zA-Z]{2,15}$"
description: Must be a valid domain name

2015-02-13 15:20:14 -0500 asked a question automate mysql dump or specify rsync within heat template?

Scenario: wordpress-multi stack orchestration that imports mysql data directly from an existing mysql server.

Can this be done? Either through mysql dump or rsync? And to take it a step further-- is it possible to also specify directories to copy over from an existing wordpress site within the heat template file? I'm trying to expedite the process of orchestrating wordpress-multi stacks for different environments (dev, testing, etc).

thanks!

2015-02-13 14:58:23 -0500 asked a question In wordpress-multi heat template, specify default plugins and theme?

Is it possible to specify a default wordpress theme and list of plugins to include within a the heat template file?

If so, I know that the theme and plugin files would need to be referenced for download, or would it be better to somehow include those files within the cookbook?

2015-02-13 14:25:29 -0500 asked a question Is it possible to set root password and add sudo user within a heat template file?

Hi,

I'm currently fine tuning the following heat template file or use with rackspace orchestration: https://github.com/rackspace-orchestration-templates/wordpress-multi/blob/master/wordpress-multi-server.yaml (link text)

To expedite orchestration, I was wondering if it was possible to specify a root password(auto generated) and add an additional sudo user also with auto generated pw-- that I could then show in output list. I know that it's probably not the best protocol to rely on these auto-generated passwords, but I'd like to use them for the sake of being able to output them immediately after setup instead of having to go into the cloud console to change it in order to gain access.

Thanks!

This fixed it:

sudo apt-get remove python-pip wget https://raw.github.com/pypa/pip/master/contrib/get-pip.py sudo python get-pip.py

2015-02-10 22:06:08 -0500 asked a question heat-client won't run, No module named utils

I'm trying to get the heat-client up and running on my Ubuntu 14.04 machine. I've followed instructions from:

http://docs.rackspace.com/orchestration/api/v1/orchestration-getting-started/content/Install_Heat_Client.html (http://docs.rackspace.com/orchestrati...)

But when I enter heat stack-list to test I receive the following error:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/bin/heat", line 7, in <module> from heatclient.shell import main File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/heatclient/shell.py", line 26, in <module> from oslo.utils import encodeutils ImportError: No module named utils

I've tried re-installing python2.7-dev, re-installed setup utilities, checked that my ~/.profile had: export PATH="$HOME/.pyenv/bin:$PATH" eval "$(pyenv init -)" eval "$(pyenv virtualenv-init -)"

Any help is appreciated! Trying to get this up asap.

Thanks!
