Well. ..we are running QEMU hypervisors .. I'm just confused about what needs patching. The provisioned vms running? the hypervisors ?

I'm using KVM with Openstack and I know I need to patch the vms which host QEMU but I'm not sure how can I patch all the vms?

2015-03-09 15:41:21 -0500 answered a question glance error in store configuration

So I fixed it by commenting out file system settings in the default section. Also in glance store section I commented out this line :

#filesystem_store_datadirs = /var/lib/glance/images/:1

so for file system settings this was the only line I had in glance store :

 filesystem_store_datadir = /var/lib/glance/images/

Under [glance_store] I have default_store = file and file directory (filesystem_store_datadir). What else needs to be enabled for glance to upload images?

2015-03-03 12:31:02 -0500 asked a question glance error in store configuration

I configured glance as directed here : http://docs.openstack.org/juno/install-guide/install/yum/content/image-service-overview.html (http://docs.openstack.org/juno/instal...)

When I run this command :

    glance image-create --name "cirros-0.3.3-x86_64" --file /tmp/images/cirros-0.3.3-x86_64-disk.img \
 --disk-format qcow2 --container-format bare --is-public True --progress

I get : <html> <head> <title>410 Gone</title> </head> <body>

410 Gone

Error in store configuration. Adding images to store is disabled.

</body> </html> (HTTP N/A)

I have glance configured to use filesystem. Then why is it complaining about store configuration ?

2015-02-23 13:05:09 -0500 asked a question keystone HTTP 500 error

Hi all --

I'm trying to set up keystone and while create the admin tenant, I get this error :

An unexpected error prevented the server from fulfilling your request. (HTTP 500)

Looking at logs I see :

OperationalError: (OperationalError) (1045, "Access denied for user 'keystone'@'allinone' (using password: YES)") None None

I created the keystone database and users as directed and gave privileges to keystone user on %, localhost and allinone.

What else needs to be done for this ?

2015-02-05 11:22:05 -0500 asked a question Openstack manual Install and deployment

Hi all.

I'm trying to learn more as much as I can about Openstack. I've been told it's better to do a manual install vs using RDOs. My question is what are the steps I have to take in order to do that? Almost every documentation I see is installing using RDOs. Can anyone point me to a documentation with manual install?
