Hi All,

I install Havana on a single host with only one Interface connected to external network 88.87.10.128/27 The host IP is 88.87.10.144. I want to be able to use FloatingIP`s from the range 88.87.10.145-88.87.10.155 for instances.

My instances have a private network 10.0.0.0.

However I face a few issues:

  1. The FloatingIP`s are Pingagle from the Host System 88.87.10.144 but not from the outside world.

    [root@openstack log]# ping 88.87.10.147
    PING 88.87.10.147 (88.87.10.147) 56(84) bytes of data.
    64 bytes from 88.87.10.147: icmp_seq=1 ttl=63 time=2.55 ms
    64 bytes from 88.87.10.147: icmp_seq=2 ttl=63 time=0.384 m

  2. My Instances don`t have access to the internet

    $ ping 8.8.8.8
    PING 8.8.8.8 (8.8.8.8): 56 data bytes
    --- 8.8.8.8 ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

  3. My instances privateIP`s are not pingable/accessible from tthe Host.

    [root@openstack ~(keystone_demo)]# ping 10.0.0.2
    PING 10.0.0.2 (10.0.0.2) 56(84) bytes of data.
    From 88.87.10.129: icmp_seq=1 Redirect Host(New nexthop: 10.0.0.2)
    From 88.87.10.129: icmp_seq=2 Redirect Host(New nexthop: 10.0.0.2)

I really hope that someone will help me with this one as it`s kind of frustrating.

I did use the very same guide to setup this however as we see from my question the network is not working as expected. I think that this probably is a routing issue as I can`t ping 10.0.0.2 which is the internal address of my Instance.

2013-07-04 04:06:50 -0500 asked a question keystone not working after upgrade to grizzly

Hi all,

On ubuntu 12.04 I upgrade my keystone to Grizzly and the keystone-manage db_sync failed. Could someone let me know what are the main difference in Keystone SQL db between Folsom and Grizzly. I really want to get this working. Currently I could get auth token but this auth token is not working with nova list for example gives me that I`m not authorized to use the service.

Please help me.
