Unfortunately this doesn't work because of foreign keys defined by OpenStack services DB migrations. For instance:

ERROR 1832 (HY000) at line 1: Cannot change column 'blob_id': used in a foreign key constraint 'artifact_blob_locations_ibfk_1'

There is an unofficial staging repository maintained by ubuntu-cloud-archive. I haven't tried it on Precise yet, but it works on Trusty.

2014-09-17 08:41:33 -0500 commented question Default role for a tenant in keystone

It seems you are right. There is no way to do that in the vanilla keystone. I have found an interesting plugin here: https://github.com/SUSE-Cloud/keystone-hybrid-backend (https://github.com/SUSE-Cloud/keyston...) that does exactly what I need. Specifically, I have used the assignment backend to give a default role to every user in a specific project.

Got the same error turned out that I was using the wrong (non-existant) database in ovs_quantum_plugin.ini

default values should be good. I think we need more info from logs here
