2014-12-07 22:30:18 -0500 answered a question Docker Highavailability

There are a variety of docker projects looking at migration of containers + persistent data (e.g. flocker), but because docker containers are groups of processes rather than a virtual machine, live migration is very different from live migration using KVM or Xen.

Live migration isn't a near-term goal of the openstack docker efforts as far as I know.

2014-12-07 22:30:18 -0500 answered a question Can i use RHEL without license?

Running RHEL without a license is what CentOS is for. It is very close to the corresponding RHEL release, including update channels, packages etc. but doesn't have support.

If you don't have a license for RHEL you cannot get the package updates.

2014-12-07 22:30:13 -0500 answered a question RDO install fails on RHEL-7 due to puppet dependency

In order to install Juno RDO on RHEL-7, two additional RHEL-7 repositories are required.

# subscription-manager repos --enable rhel-7-server-optional-rpms
Repo 'rhel-7-server-optional-rpms' is enabled for this system.
# subscription-manager repos --enable rhel-7-server-extras-rpms
Repo 'rhel-7-server-extras-rpms' is enabled for this system.

This is documented in the RDO Repository requirements.

2014-12-07 22:30:12 -0500 asked a question RDO install fails on RHEL-7 due to puppet dependency

When I try to install RDO Juno on RHEL 7, packstack fails because puppet cannot install. Trying to install puppet manually as suggested in this https://ask.openstack.org/en/question/47050/failed-to-install-rdo/ (https://ask.openstack.org/en/question...) fails the same way:

# yum install -y puppet

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

yum clean all also doesn't fix the problem.
