2014-09-27 08:14:17 -0500 marked best answer How to install Juno release from Ubuntu Cloud archive?

I am trying to install Openstack Juno release manually using the docs from .

While running

 add-apt-repository cloud-archive:juno

I'm getting 'juno' not a valid cloud-archive name. ANd lists the previous releases as options. I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 so it won't even allow me to install icehouse claiming it wants the Ubuntu precise (12.04) release.

Are the instructions at not yet ready to be used before the Juno release? Is there another link I can get the Juno code from so I can continue with the installation process? Thanks in advance!

2014-09-13 18:17:33 -0500 asked a question Error installing rabbitmq

Hello all, I'm just getting started with installing Openstack icehouse on 3 node (following the offical openstack installation guide). I'm on the step of running "apt-get install rabbitmq-server" to install rabbitmq on the controller. I'm getting the error "ERROR: epmd error for host "controller": address (cannot connect to host/port)"

Below is more info on the error output. I changed the hostname of the controller node from the default "ubuntu" to "controller". Setting up rabbitmq-server (3.2.4-1) ... * Starting message broker rabbitmq-server * FAILED - check /var/log/rabbitmq/startup_{log, _err} [fail] invoke-rc.d: initscript rabbitmq-server, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing package rabbitmq-server (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: rabbitmq-server E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Any help is greatly apprecaited!

Thank you guys. I was aware Juno is not offically going to be released until mid-october but I assumed the code was accessible if the install instructions were available at this time.

First time using this forum and it was great to get an answer so quick. I'm attempting to install icehouse manually so I expect to be a regular here soon!
