2015-08-11 03:04:35 -0600 asked a question Is there any patch for evacuate to make the param [target host] optional in icehouse?

We want to achieve the vm-ha goal in icehouse, after researched, we found that the function EVACUATE can do some favor for us. But the target_host is not optional in icehouse, firstly we should find a suitable host, it is hard for us to do that.

I just want to know is there any patch for evacuate in icehouse, that could make the parameter target_host optional. Then if the host fail down, we could migrate the VMs to a healthy one immediately.

Thanks a lot.

Hi all, I was trying to fill up the VM-HA program, Auto migrate vms to a new host when the hypervisor failed down. But I was confused in how to find out a proper host to rebuild the vms. Is there any way to use the nova-scheduler api to choose a proper one.

2014-11-19 23:31:18 -0600 edited question how to use neutron in the product environment(solved)

In the manu docs,The neutron network always use tunnel mode, but the performance is limited, as all the flow show first traffic to network node.I was thinking about if there were some methods to avoid that situation. So that the flow can directly traffic from hypervisor to the ext-network.

Can anyone share your product network topology with us.

thx!
