Not sure if Smaffuli's judgement is subjective for closing this question! This is an open place, no sensorship needed! Anyway, The questionss are somewhat answered in these links: https://blog.bitergia.com/2013/04/04/companies-contributing-to-openstack-grizzly-analysis/ https://launchpad.net/marconi/+milestones

Thanks, This is a good starting point. At the end, the article said that 6 HP developers contributed 42 times in Nova, how do I find out what they are? Also, HP will charge for Marconi. Does this mean OpenStack does not have it yet? and HP is doing it privately?

They all have their own software package which is in competition with openStack. For example, HP has CloudSystem Matix, and its related package:

IBM acquired SoftLayer lately:

I’m trying to see if I buy hardware only without the cloud software from HP, IBM or dell, but only use OpenStack, would my cloud system(private or public) standup at least on par with the hardware + software cloud system from those companies?

Hi, Has any systematic feature comparison been done between OpenStack cloud solution and that of HP, IBM and Dell?

Thanks,

2013-05-22 13:58:12 -0500 commented question How does openstack handle blade server?

Further more, how does the openstack know if two blades are configured in a redundancy group (one is a hot standy of the other)?

2013-05-22 12:42:26 -0500 asked a question How does openstack handle blade server?

A blade server host a chasis of blades, computing, networking, storage, etc. These blades are managed as awhole usually. Does openstack have hirarchical management/operational scheme? Does it handle plugin such a scheme?
