I am having trouble verifying my proxy and swift storage node from the ICEHOUSE installation guide. I am running all my nodes on real machines. (no VMs). I have 1 proxy node and 1 storage node. I run "swift stat" on my controller and I get this error Just so you know, I referenced this post https://ask.openstack.org/en/question... but it didnt help my particular case. Here is my ifconfig: rsyncd.conf (more) |

What i did was install xenserver 6.2 on a host. Than I followed steps 1 to 7 for "Complete these steps to install OpenStack in my XenServer system:" from [http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/config-reference/content/introduction-to-xen.html#xenapi-install]. For Installing the VIF isolation rules I followed the instructions from this link [https://github.com/openstack/nova/blob/master/plugins/xenserver/doc/networking.rst]. Than I manually installed the XenAPI plugins on dom0. After that I created domU using Ubuntu 12.04 64bit and set up my compute node following the instructions for setting up a compute node from http://docs.openstack.org/havana/install-guide/install/apt/content/ (http://docs.openstack.org/havana/inst...) . I followed the instructions there but instead of running "apt-get install nova-compute-kvm python-guestfs" i ran "apt-get install nova-compute-xen python-guestfs". I added ... (more) |
