I tried the guide: "Installing Nova on a Single Host"

In my first answer I got help to complete some steps for another distros, but when I continued, I got:

-- STEP 4 OK

[root@cloud ~]# nova-manage user admin palvarez export EC2_ACCESS_KEY=1b9d2ac2-1256-4482-b08d-8383b4385504 export EC2_SECRET_KEY=51763d24-d03d-4a4d-8cec-81e35c32f041

[root@cloud ~]# nova-manage project create NOVA palvarez [root@cloud ~]#

I didn't get the documented message: "

Generating RSA private key, 1024 bit long modulus .....++++++ ..++++++ e is 65537 (0x10001) Using configuration from ./openssl.cnf Check that the request matches the signature Signature ok The Subject's Distinguished Name is as follows countryName :PRINTABLE:'US' stateOrProvinceName :PRINTABLE:'California' localityName :PRINTABLE:'MountainView' organizationName :PRINTABLE:'AnsoLabs' organizationalUnitName:PRINTABLE:'NovaDev' commonName :PRINTABLE:'anne-2010-10-12T21:12:35Z' Certificate is to be certified until Oct 12 21:12:35 2011 GMT (365 days)

and the file nova.zip is not written.

Some idea?

2010-11-16 23:46:41 -0500 answered a question installing Nova on CentOS

the package Python-daemon was installed,

[root@cloud nova-2010.1]# easy_install-2.6 python-daemon Searching for python-daemon Best match: python-daemon 1.5.5 Processing python_daemon-1.5.5-py2.6.egg python-daemon 1.5.5 is already the active version in easy-install.pth

Using /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/python_daemon-1.5.5-py2.6.egg Processing dependencies for python-daemon Finished processing dependencies for python-daemon

But I tried to upgrade with:

[root@cloud nova-2010.1]# easy_install-2.6 -U python-daemon Searching for python-daemon Reading http://pypi.python.org/simple/python-daemon/ (http://pypi.python.org/simple/python-...) Processing python-daemon-1.6.tar.gz Running python-daemon-1.6/setup.py -q bdist_egg --dist-dir /tmp/easy_install-yByCjD/python-daemon-1.6/egg-dist-tmp-xjxsYW Removing python-daemon 1.5.5 from easy-install.pth file Adding python-daemon 1.6 to easy-install.pth file

Installed /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/python_daemon-1.6-py2.6.egg Processing dependencies for python-daemon Finished processing dependencies for python-daemon

I exec again:

[root@cloud nova-2010.1]# nova-api "$NOVA_DIR/bin/nova-api --flagfile=/etc/nova/nova-manage.conf" start Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/nova-api", line 5, in <module> pkg_resources.run_script('nova==2010.1', 'nova-api') File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/pkg_resources.py", line 461, in run_script self.require(requires)[0].run_script(script_name, ns) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/pkg_resources.py", line 1194, in run_script execfile(script_filename, namespace, namespace) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/nova-2010.1-py2.6.egg/EGG-INFO/scripts/nova-api", line 37, in <module> from nova import server File "/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/nova-2010.1-py2.6.egg/nova/server.py", line 24, in <module> from daemon import pidlockfile ImportError: cannot import name pidlockfile

and the error continues. Some idea?

When I exec: # nova-api "$NOVA_DIR/bin/nova-api --flagfile=/etc/nova/nova-manage.conf"
