2012-08-16 12:40:25 -0500 asked a question Formpost: erro 401

Hello,

I'm trying to use swift formpost and tempurl middlewares, but with formpost i'm getting the 401 error. The tempurl middleware is running normaly.

My swift config file has the follow lines:

[pipeline:main] pipeline = catch_errors cache tempurl formpost swauth proxy-server

[filter:tempurl] use = egg:swift#tempurl

[filter:formpost] use = egg:swift#formpost

I need to use swauth as my autentication middleware, but i thik that there is no problem since swauth has suport to it ( https://github.com/gholt/swauth/commit/09590624eaf34c60920b804856b7992ad546b506 (https://github.com/gholt/swauth/commi...) ).

I'm using this tutorial to create my request: http://docs.openstack.org/developer/swift/misc.html#module-swift.common.middleware.formpost (http://docs.openstack.org/developer/s...)

Someone ca help me?

2012-08-08 21:16:13 -0500 asked a question Configuration of cyberduck with Swift on Mac OS

Hello, I am trying to follow the configuration of cyberduck on Mac Lions OS with Openstack Swift throught this link http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/openstack-object-storage/admin/content/part-ii-configuring-cyberduck.html (http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/opens...) But i get "ch.sudo.cyberduck: command not found" as a result.

I notice there aren't any cyberduck config file anyware on the Mac OS (as opposed to windows, where i successfully configured and used it)

Does it have anything with the instalation on Mac (unzip downloaded file, copy Cyberduck.app to Aplications folder)? Is there any other configuration step that I am missing or another way of installation? Thank you for any help

2012-06-18 14:40:39 -0500 asked a question Doubts about User role in keystone

Hi,

I have some doubts about user roles in Keystone, i think this doubt comes because i get used to tempauth and swauth roles and a couldn't map this roles to Keystone...

the doubt is this:

In tempauth e swauth there are 3 types of user's roles: user, admin e resseler admin. The first have the acess to object in a container limited to what is admin set for him (container acl permission). The admin has full control over the container in his account and the resselr admin has full control over then accounts, containers and objects in a cluster.

In keystone, we can create the tenant and the role ( http://docs.openstack.org/essex/openstack-compute/starter/content/Creating_Keystone_Roles-d1e460.html (http://docs.openstack.org/essex/opens...) ) . So if I create the role, how do i set that one role is the "admin" role? How do i set that the role i create is is a role under the admin role? ("user" role)

2012-05-29 15:06:59 -0500 asked a question How swift log events

Hello,

reading the documentation ( http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/openstack-object-storage/admin/content/ch_introduction-to-openstack-object-storage-monitoring.html (http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/opens...) , http://swift.openstack.org/admin_guide.html (http://swift.openstack.org/admin_guid...) ) I have found some ways that swift provides to obtain statistical data from proxies and object nodes. As I understand these data can be obtained when we require (eg: swift-dispersion-report tool) and can also be sent metrics to a server statsD. I'm not sure if the Swift maintains a log file (with, for example, date, name of performed operations ...) of the requested operations to the proxy server and also the operations performed by the server objects. Someone could help me clarify this?

Hello,

i'm trying to use the tempurl and formpost middlewares but i didn't find any documentation that explain how to use this tecnology (tutorials, local system configuration and swift requirements to run the tecnology).

Someone knows any documentation that i can use to give this kickoff?
