Jeffrey, as you know, you can take bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/glance/+bug/1189089 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/glance/+bu...) to track the status. I have submmited a fix for this. But it's pending, since the oslo.message is comming to replace current oslo's notification implement. I will continue work on this. If you wang to track this, pls monitor the bug. Thanks.

Just like like John's said, most of the parameters configuration should be shown on link http://api.openstack.org/api-ref.html , but unfortunately, the v2 API has not been updated to the api site. So for now, you may need to check below source code to get the filter parameters info: https://github.com/openstack/glance/blob/master/glance/api/v2/images.py#L66 (https://github.com/openstack/glance/b...)

Hi stacker,

I'm just wondering about the relationship between Cinder REST API v1 and v2. There are some questions I'd like to know. Thanks in advance.

  1. Can I say v1 is a subset of v2? Or they just have some overlap but support some different functions from each other.
  2. Is it the v1 still being maintained now and in the future?
  3. What's rule to backport a bug fix from v2 to v1?

Thanks.

A simple way to setup Cinder ( or other components ) development env is that you can install OpenStack by devstack. And then port the source code to eclipse+pydev. By this way, you can easily debug the source code of OpenStack.
