2014-01-21 05:29:59 -0600 answered a question HTTPConnectionPool Exception when whatever service fails

Sorry dheeru, I´ve not explained very well. I have all services running (cinder, glance, keystone, nova, quantum and swift) and everything is OK: I can access through horizon dashboard and manage whatever I want. The thing is when any service is either stopped or down, I´m not able to see the dashboard running anymore coming up that exception. It should be possible to manage other services in the dashboard.

My test: I´ve stopped manually cinder service and this is the trace of horizon dashboard:

ConnectionError at /admin/ HTTPConnectionPool(host='10.0.2.239', port=8776): Max retries exceeded with url: /v1/0c954d731cdc4a369fe3818275b44608/os-quota-sets/0c954d731cdc4a369fe3818275b44608 (Caused by <class 'socket.error'=""> : [Errno 111] Connection refused) Request Method: GET Request URL: http://10.0.2.239:8079/admin/ Django Version: 1.4.6 Exception Type: ConnectionError Exception Value:

2014-01-20 11:39:23 -0600 asked a question HTTPConnectionPool Exception when whatever service fails

Hi there,

I´m having an exception like this:

HTTPConnectionPool(host='10.0.2.239', port=8776): Max retries exceeded with url: /v1/0c954d731cdc4a369fe3818275b44608/os-quota-sets/0c954d731cdc4a369fe3818275b44608 (Caused by <class 'socket.error'="">: [Errno 111] Connection refused)</class>

I´ve stopped manually cinder service and I got this exception. If I have all services running everything is OK. The goal if this is that I have each service on each server so If one server is down, is not going to be any service available?

I would like to access to dashboard at least.
