Could you provide more information about the process that you use for the installation?

Interesting, that method was added[1] in April, 2016. I just wondering if you found the solution.

2017-02-28 11:33:11 -0600 answered a question DevStack Installation issues

Well, this is my vagrant devstack deployment script[1], so I haven't face with that problem because I use vagrant user as a devstack user, but if you need to create a new user for devstack you can use this script[2] to do it

I have the same issue, but I'm not sure if this commit for Liberty is going to hide the problem

2015-07-28 11:46:37 -0600 answered a question How to enable glance cache manage middleware in Grizzly?

Maybe it's to late, but it deserves to have an answer to this question.

I found the following documentation that helps to get an idea how to configure it.

Hope this helps

2015-04-10 12:51:58 -0600 answered a question What is the last update/status of supporting python3?

I have asked this question thru #openstack-dev channel. Boris Bobrov has giving a couple to things that I consider valuable information to replicate here.

  1. The current status is different for each project and mostly depends on third-side packages.
  2. There was an old blueprint for Keystone to track this effort .
  3. OpenStack clients should be also support python3.

Thanks Stefano, I'll do thru the #openstack-dev channel, regarding the intention is kind of both.

I have seen this wiki entry where tracks the effort to support python3 for every OpenStack component. I noticed that last update was made on September 29th, I'm wondering if something has change since that date. If that is the case, where I can find the current status of that effort.

2014-02-04 14:52:40 -0600 asked a question What is the correct behavior of OS_CACERT in python clients?

I've a doubt is this could be bug, but after comparing nova and glance clients, I see some inconsistencies.

If I have unset the OS_CACERT variable and I run the follows

(.venv)vjmorale@gmw-vjmorale:~/openstack-src$ nova image-list
ERROR: [Errno 1] _ssl.c:504: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed

(.venv)vjmorale@gmw-vjmorale:~/openstack-src$ nova --insecure image-list
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+--------+--------+
| ID | Name | Status | Server |
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+--------+--------+
...

(.venv)vjmorale@gmw-vjmorale:~/openstack-src$ nova image-list
ERROR: [Errno 1] _ssl.c:504: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed

(.venv)vjmorale@gmw-vjmorale:~/openstack-src$ nova --insecure image-list
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+--------+--------+
| ID | Name | Status | Server |
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+--------+--------+
...

At this point everything seems right, but once that I set OS_CACERT variable, its behavior changes

(.venv)vjmorale@gmw-vjmorale:~/openstack-src$ nova image-list
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+--------+--------+
| ID | Name | Status | Server |
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+--------+--------+
...

(.venv)vjmorale@gmw-vjmorale:~/openstack-src$ nova --insecure image-list
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+--------+--------+
| ID | Name | Status | Server |
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+--------+--------+
...

(.venv)vjmorale@gmw-vjmorale:~/openstack-src$ glance image-list
Host "xxx.xxx.xxx" does not match x509 certificate contents: CommonName "xxx.xxx.xxx", subjectAltName "DNS:xxx.xxx.xxx, IP Address:127.0.0.1"

(.venv)vjmorale@gmw-vjmorale:~/openstack-src$ glance --insecure image-list
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+-------------+------------------+--------------+--------+
| ID | Name | Disk Format | Container Format | Size | Status |
+--------------------------------------+--------------------------+-------------+------------------+--------------+--------+
...

Is there a problem with my certificate? or there is a bug in one of the clients?

2014-01-13 12:18:37 -0600 asked a question Why I can't delete all container's objects with one click from horizon?

In order to remove a container you must delete their object, but I saw that horizon doesn't have any checkbox that allows to select all the container's objects. As result, you have to select them one by one. I wonder if this is a missing feature or there is a technical reason behind that.
