2018-12-11 09:52:12 -0500 asked a question Cleaning the volume

I have volume created. I am attaching a instance to that volume and pushing some files. After doing it I am deleting the instance. I am creating a new volume again with the same volume. I see old data is still there. I do not want to delete volume. Is there a way I can clean the volume ..something like formatting so that when I create a instance I will be starting everything new

2018-11-14 14:32:56 -0500 asked a question how to loop a nested for _each loop.

I have 3 for_each nested loops for rules. How can I have the loop set.

resources:
  SECURITY_GROUP:
    type: OS::Neutron::SecurityGroup
    properties:
      name: { get_param: GNAME }
         repeat:
           for_each:
             <%list1%>: {get_param: list1s }
           template:
             repeat:
               for_each:
                 <%list2%>: {get_param: list2s }
               template:
                 rules:
                   port: <%list1%>
                   remote_ip_prefix: <%list2%>

This is giving an Error. If I keept rules before the first repeat it gives error that it is not a map

2018-11-13 23:01:00 -0500 asked a question HEAT readfile sequentially and assign the value

I have a file with data:

11111
22222
33333
like that 50 entries.

I want to create a template where in I want to go over a loop, assign the first 3 so template have 3 variables: a, b,c want to assign first 3 elements to a,b,c. than 4th, 5th,6th to a,b,c..

how can I do that ? one way I can think of doing is if I write in template a=11111, b=22222 c=33333 I can do get_file as a resource and assign the values. But as my variables are repeating continuisly I am looking for a repeat: but having issue how to assign the values in 2nd iteration?

2018-11-13 16:36:23 -0500 asked a question HEAT template for loop in a for loop

I have data like: List1: A,B,C,D,E List2: 11,22,33,44,55

       for_each:
        <%list1indiv%>: {get_param: List1 }
       template:
        ip_prefix: <%list1indiv%>

I can do this for 1 loop. I want to have A=11 B=11 C=11 D=11 Basically looking a Loop like:

for (List1):
 for List2:
    template : Lis1 : list2.

How can I do loop in a loop please...
