2019-04-19 10:39:11 -0500 commented question Dependecies of OpenStack VM

I did the test 5 times and i took the average, the creation of VMs is from snapshots

2019-04-19 07:33:09 -0500 commented question Dependecies of OpenStack VM

no, i have two cases:

1- same content and flavors different (i.e., m1.small and m1.medium)

2- same flavor but content different (i.e., m1.small for both and vm-1 has docker installed and vm2-has docker installed and a created container but the time to create vm-1 from a snapshot larger than vm-2)

2019-04-19 05:04:26 -0500 commented question Dependecies of OpenStack VM

@Bernd Bausch I mean by content, systems installed inside an instance such as docker

The time is the time until the vm being active, m1.medium VM take more time than m1.large VM

@Bernd Bausch have you any idea about this question ?

2019-04-18 10:47:27 -0500 asked a question Dependecies of OpenStack VM

Is the time of an OpenStack virtual machine creation depends on its content?

for example, in my configuration instances launched with m1.medium flavor take more time than launched with m1.large

for example, an empty virtual machine and another machine contain a system (Docker for example)

What are the variations that can impact a VM?

2019-04-17 06:06:57 -0500 asked a question OpenStack services installation

In the installation of compute service(or other services), there are three type of configuration for databases

Populate the nova-api and placement databases

Register the cell0 database

Create the cell1 cell

Populate the nova database

what is the difference between the above "populate", "registre" and "create" ?

2019-03-25 09:13:24 -0500 asked a question create multiple instances using python sdk

I tried to create more than one instance at time using OpenStack python SDK with min_count and max_count. I cited below my code that creates just one instance, where is the problem?

def create_instance(instance_name, image_id, flavor_id, security_group_name, key_name, min_count, max_count):                                                                                           testing_instance = conn.compute.create_server(name=instance_name, image_id=image_id, flavor_id=flavor_id,
                                           security_group_name=security_group_name, key_name=key_name,
                                           min_count=min_count, max_count=max_count)                                                 testing_instance = conn.compute.wait_for_server(testing_instance)                                                     create_instance('vm', '43d8bf3b-1fcc-4796-ab83-16b1c2591367', '2', 'default', 'mkey', '2', '2')

I asked for installing docker swarm inside openstack instance and not inside as a driver.

Is it possible to do this or not

2019-03-23 16:49:58 -0500 asked a question Use docker swarm inside openstack Instance

How can i use docker swarm installed inside an openstack instance.

There is not enough space for docker machines.

Could i use docker swarm without docker-machines? or how can i do?
