It is possible when you create your management network with ( --external ) flag and it can NAT with router's exit gateway interface.

2019-01-30 04:52:05 -0500 answered a question Gnocchi measures result showing empty

This gnocchi gave an output, when we pulled once manually using metric name and also ensure that "/var/lib/gnocchi" directory has enough permission to write data.

gnocchi measures add -r "resource id" -m "time stamp" "metric name"

e.g:

gnocchi measures add -r 05063931-3377-41f6-a7c2-7f9b7a6c729f -m 2019-01-28T08:00:39@300 image.download

This is helped!

Hi All,

I have configured gnocchi with ceilometer in Queens on Ubuntu 16.04. After the configuration I am able to get resources and metrics but couldn't get any measures for any resources.

Getting (gnocchi.cli.metricd: 0 measurements bundles across 0 metrics wait to be processed) in gnocchi-metricd.log

Please help on this, if you have faced this earlier.

2018-11-29 00:39:43 -0500 asked a question Gnocchi Installation on Queens

Hi All

I am trying to install gnocchi for ceilometer in Queens on Ubuntu 16. But gnocchi by default seeking 35357 port instead of 5000 for keystone authentication. In configuration also port 5000 mentioned but still its looking for 35357.

Any one faced this scenario ? How to overcome this issue ?

gnocchi.conf

[api] auth_mode = keystone

[keystone_authtoken] auth_type = password auth_url = http://controller:5000/v3 project_domain_name = Default user_domain_name = Default project_name = service username = gnocchi password = * interface = internalURL region_name = RegionOne

[indexer] url = mysql+pymysql://gnocchi:*@controller/gnocchi [storage] coordination_url = redis://controller:6379 file_basepath = /var/lib/gnocchi driver = file

ceilometer.conf

[DEFAULT] transport_url = rabbit://openstack:*@controller

[service_credentials] auth_type = password auth_url = http://controller:5000/v3 project_domain_id = default user_domain_id = default project_name = service username = ceilometer password = * interface = internalURL region_name = RegionOne

2018-10-30 10:56:42 -0500 asked a question Is it possible to create instance with ephemeral storage on cinder ?

Hello All,

I am trying to launch instance in ephemeral storage on my cinder node. Is it possible ?

2018-10-30 10:56:39 -0500 asked a question cinder volume location on storage node

Hi

I have created an Instance with attached volume from storage node. In storage node I could see the volume ID under /var/lib/cinder/volumes directory. but the size is 4.0K. My disk consumed 7GB of disk space. where I can get the exact disk file of my volume.

Thanks Hari
