I'm trying to run the following Scala commands in spark-shell:

val arr = Array(1, 2, 3, 4)
val myData = sc.parallelize(arr)

The last line throws an error. Here is a sample of it:

org.javaswift.joss.shade.exception.CommandException: Unable to execute the HTTP call or to convert the HTTP Response at at at org.javaswift.joss.shade.client.core.AbstractContainer.getInfo( at org.javaswift.joss.shade.client.core.AbstractObjectStoreEntity.checkForInfo( at org.javaswift.joss.shade.client.core.AbstractObjectStoreEntity.checkForInfoDisallowErrorLog( at

Caused by: com.amazonaws.shade.thirdparty.apache.http.client.ClientProtocolException: com.amazonaws.shade.thirdparty.apache.http.ProtocolException: Target host is not specified at com.amazonaws.shade.thirdparty.apache.http.impl.client.InternalHttpClient.doExecute(

I'm not familiar with Keystone and am not sure whats causing this. I've found examples of the error online but no usefule solutions.

As far as I can tell, I've configured Keystone correctly(I followed this: ( and my core-site.xml is also configured correctly.

Can anybody please advise what might be wrong?
