On dashboard installation: apt install openstack-dashboard Edit the /etc/openstack-dashboard/local_settings.py file and complete the following actions: Configure the dashboard to use OpenStack services on the controller node: OPENSTACK_HOST = "controller" ALLOWED_HOSTS = ['*']

2017-08-29 09:04:33 -0500 asked a question Horizon Dashboard Ocata is blocked by Parked Domain ?

Hi,

I built Openstack Ocata with multi nodes through "proxy". The communication between controller node and compute nodes are working well. However, I cannot launch the horizon from it hostname or ip address. It keeps getting blocked by Parked Domain or Access Denied. The only way I can access horizon from controller node is to use http://localhost/dashboard.

Cannot get to : http://controller/dashboard - Block by Parked Domain

Cannot get to: http://10.22.69.11/dashboard - Access Denied

Works at : http://localhost/dashboard - works here

Can you give me some help on how to get around this issue ?

Best Regards,

M

Hi, Thanks so much for your help. This instruction is to configure one controller and one compute node. If I want to add another compute node and a block storage node. Can I use Packstack to add another compute and storage node to existing environment ? Would you guide me to the instruction ?

Hi there,

I use above link "http://lxer.com/module/newswire/view/..." to build multi nodes from scratch. I run packstack on the controller node. Do I have to run packstack on the compute node ?

Thanks,

Hi,

I have seen the same problem on Centos 7 using Ocata Release described by Bug 1408314 here on my controller node. I was not able to launch horizon dashboard dued to memcached.service error.

Do I have to upgrade to memcached version 1.4.39 from Ocata Release ?

Best Regards,

Mych

Description of problem: I noticed during the installation of a controller node, that the following warnings were being outputted repeatedly:

Dec 22 21:24:11 host-192-168-24-7 systemd: [/usr/lib/systemd/system/memcached.service:43] Unknown lvalue 'MemoryDenyWriteExecute' in section 'Service'

It appears that we have an invalid setting in the default memcached.service file.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): memcached-1.4.33-2.el7.x86_64

How reproducible: 100%

Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install memcached-1.4.33-2.el7.x86_64 2. Reload systemd 3. See logs

Actual results: No warnings should be emitted
