2020-06-05 07:01:22 -0500 asked a question Magunum -Kubernetes cluster deployment fails

Hi Team I have deployed OSA train version and incorporated magnum service to it.But when trying to create a cluster getting error as below

'Resource CREATE failed:Error resources.kube_masters.resources[0].resources.master_config_deployment: Deployment to server failed: deploy_status_code: Deployment exited with non-zero status code: 1', 'default-worker': 'Resource CREATE failed: Error: resources.kube_masters.resources[0].resources.master_config_deployment: Deployment to server failed: deploy_status_code: Deployment exited with non-zero status code: 1'}

Only master node got created and can see the lb created for the cluster in error state .

In the heat-container-agent.service i can see /var/lib/os-collect-config/local-data not found. Skipping Any suggestions

Hi All

When trying to deploy openstack using ansible getting below error while running setup-infrastructure.yml file .

ASK [python_venv_build : Upgrade pip/setuptools/wheel to the versions we want] ******************* FAILED - RETRYING: Upgrade pip/setuptools/wheel to the versions we want (5 retries left). Failed to establish a new connection: %s\" % e)\nurllib3.exceptions.NewConnectionError: <urllib3.connection.httpconnection object="" at="" 0x7f87b10eddd8="">: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 113] No route to host

We have 3 control nodes which will act as haproxy nodes as well.Also defined internal_lb_vip_address as another ip address as the same controller node range .

I can see a bug raised very recently https://bugs.launchpad.net/openstack-...

It will great if someone can guide

Yes is this possible ? Can we replicate just Object Store of Openstack (back end ceph or cinder(Swift)) to another Openstack rather than replicating the whole Ceph

@eblock thanks for the document link.As i dont see a good documentation on multi region we are forced to think about object store alone (sync or replication ) across two openstack.Is that possible swift or cephback end object store to sync/replicate to another Openstack

I am confused by reading all these comments .How have you created the first instance with volumes or without volume ?How are you creating snapshot from that instance ?Once you create snapshot ,are you able to see it in under images in Horizon ?

@najeh Use command openstack server image create<instance-id> and a snapshot/image of 0bytes will be uploaded to glance .Use this image and then launch a server with or without volume as per your environment

2019-02-07 02:22:56 -0500 commented question there is no disk available

On controller ..On Controller you can install all services needed for running Openstack and treat Compute node just for deploying VM's.Also once you install Cinder correctly ,cinder-volume and cinder-schedular services will be started

2019-02-06 23:41:26 -0500 commented question there is no disk available

Incase you need to launch instance with volumes you may need to use cinder,ceph etc depending on your environment and configuration.
