2017-07-04 07:16:16 -0500 asked a question How to specify gic version in openstack through glance

Hi,

I am trying to run Openstack on ARM64 architecture. ARM64 architecture with KVM hypervisor needs GIC version(generic interrupt controller) as a property for the image when we are creating/uploading an image. I would like to include this property in the glance code. I am new to glance, Can someone suggest me how to approach for this.

Thanks in advance

2017-05-22 07:05:00 -0500 asked a question [Openstack-dev][Tacker] Not able to run user_data commands on my instance

Hi,

I'm have installed openstack with tacker by devstack.

I'm able to run OpenWRT vnf and able to configure the firewall service with openwrt management driver.

And also able to run shell commands in cirros image which is also using openwrt management driver.

Now I have created one ubuntu image, and able to launch through tacker.

In this instance i want run some shell commands through tacker's user_data feature.

But no commands are executing.

Is it possible to run commands on custom images unlike cirros/openwrt?

If yes kindly share the procedure to create proper ubuntu image.

Below is tosca configd file

Hi I am also facing the same issue as I can able to execute shell commands on cirros-0.3.5-x86_64-disk.img image but when I am trying to do the same on OpenWRT image I was not happening.

Do I need to take any special care to OpenWRT? Kindly suggest me to move forward.

Thanks in advance -Vishnu

2017-01-25 11:03:46 -0500 asked a question No serial console logs in dashboard on arm64 platform after instance creation

Hi,

I just installed the openstack using devstack with enabled serial console 'enable_service n-sproxy' service on Ubuntu 16.04LTS on arm64 platform(APM's mustang)

I have been created one instance with custom kernel and ramdisk(converted to amazon images). It is showing 'running' on dashboard but nothing is displayed on dashboard's console. status: Closed is displaying on bottom left corner.

I tried to access through

virsh console instance-00000001 --devname serial1

, it is just blinking but nothing it is showing.

I tried to install the same images with virt-install command, it is booting properly.

Below is instance console log

cat /var/log/libvirt/qemu/instance-00000001.log

Apart from this suspicious log, i didn't found anything.

Is this taint will create a problem? If yes, kindly provide me work around to achieve the same

Note: I didn't get this taint while installing with virsh-install
