2017-02-09 02:35:08 -0500 commented answer How to get traffic for a cetrain instance by ceilometer?

I can't use method 1, it says
error: unrecognized arguments: --device_id
maybe some typo here?
But the Method 2 works pretty good! Thank you!

2017-02-08 19:34:37 -0500 asked a question How to get traffic for a cetrain instance by ceilometer?

Dear All, I want to get network traffic by ceilometer,
so far I can use ceilometer sample-list -m network.incoming.bytes.rate to get some result like following

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+-----------------------------+-------+---------------+------+----------------------------+
| Resource ID | Name | Type | Volume | Unit | Timestamp |
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+-----------------------------+-------+---------------+------+----------------------------+
| instance-00000006-2f28eb63-a2c8-4201-aee1-02f79fbb283c-tapa60f8f2e-dc | network.incoming.bytes.rate | gauge | 0.0 | B/s | 2017-02-09T01:27:09.697322 |

I know the 2f28eb63-a2c8-4201-aee1-02f79fbb283c is the instance ID. but where to find the rest of 2 values for a instance?? The instance-00000006 and tapa60f8f2e-dc

So that I can use query to narrow the search.

Thank you.

2016-12-12 09:27:19 -0500 asked a question Unknown Filed "key_name" in VNFD tosca of tacker

Dear all, I would like to add a key pair to my VDU so, I fallowed the instruction of http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:QanSAagEFLQJ:lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack/2016-April/015874.html+&cd=1&hl=zh-TW&ct=clnk&gl=tw
and
http://docs.openstack.org/developer/tacker/devref/vnfd_template_description.html

Then I modified my vnfd file like this

topology_template:
 node_templates:
 VDU1:
  type: tosca.nodes.nfv.VDU.Tacker
  properties:
    image: Ubuntu 14 Cloud
    flavor: m1.small
    availability_zone: nova
    mgmt_driver: noop
    key_name: key

VDU2:
  type: tosca.nodes.nfv.VDU.Tacker
  properties:
    image: Ubuntu 14 Cloud
    flavor: m1.small
    availability_zone: nova
    mgmt_driver: noop
    key_name: key

CP1:
  type: tosca.nodes.nfv.CP.Tacker
  properties:
    management: true
    order: 0
    anti_spoofing_protection: false
  requirements:
    - virtualLink:
        node: VL1
    - virtualBinding:
        node: VDU1

But when I try to create vnfd, it failed. And the error message is

tosca-parser failed: - The pre-parsed input failed validation with the following error(s):

UnknownFieldError: "properties" of template "VDU1" contains unknown field "key_name". Refer to the definition to verify valid values.

2016-12-12 09:27:19 -0500 asked a question How to use cloud-config in tosca of Tacker

Hi,

What's the proper way to add the cloud-config in the VNFD yaml file? I tried to add my cloud-config in the user-data section, but nothing works.

Thank you.
