2016-11-10 04:36:43 -0500 answered a question DB update failed during magnum install

This is the same issue as in https://bugs.launchpad.net/magnum/+bug/1636131.

The fix for this was proposed in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/magnum/+bug/1632743 and the fixed python-magnum package has been uploaded as version 3.1.1-1 in the Debian Unstable repository (see https://packages.debian.org/unstable/main/python-magnum ).

I cannot see that Ubuntu has updated this package in their repos yet, however a temporary fix would be to download and install the Debian package from https://packages.debian.org/sid/all/python-magnum/download

Looks like the same issue as in https://ask.openstack.org/en/question/95889/domainnotfound-could-not-find-domain-default/ (https://ask.openstack.org/en/question...)

2016-09-01 20:59:09 -0500 answered a question DomainNotFound: Could not find domain: default

I had the same issue, however I managed to get around it with a (dirty) hack.

Seems like the "default" domain should be created by the db_sync script with a id of "default". I could not find a way of changing this ID afterwards, therefore I did a messy (but working) string replace in the database on the ID given by "openstack domain list", and changed all occurrences of it to default.

Seems to be working so far.
