Hello All,

I installed Mitaka openstack and I got the error below when I entered ( # neutron ext-list )

It seems that port 9696 is not opened and not listened as I checked that point

Could you please tell me how to open port 9696

another question : how to show /var/log/neutron/server.log file ... is it via ( # sudo vi /var/log/neutron/server.log or what ? as this command give me a new empty file )

thanks in advance and will be waiting your support,

Sarah

Dear All,

I need your support as I'm in the last step of establishing core service of OpenStack Mikata and while entering verification command " # neutron ext-list " it give me the below error : ( unexpected exception for http:controller:9696/v2.0/extensions.json: failed to parse: http:controller:9696 )

I think the problem here is ( http:controller ) as it's without ( //) but in all my files I'm sure that the URL is right and I think the problem when creating the endpoint as I created it twice without // then with // without deleting the wrong one.

openstack endpoint delete <endping_id>

The problem here that I can't get endpoint id

as by writing command " # keystone user-list " or " # keystone debug user-list " or " # keystone endpoint-list " it give me a long error

so please kindly advise as it'll be very hard to reinstall everything :(

Regards,

Sarah

2016-08-11 06:51:34 -0500 asked a question error start job failed to start

Dear All,

Kindly I need your support as while I'm setting up Mikata Openstack and in the step of SQL database I got the below error when I enter ( # service mysql restart ) command.

the error is : ( start job failed to start )

be noted that I installed with the command ( # apt-get install mariadb-server python-pymysql )

Also I need to know something , As per the guide I must create new file /etc/mysql/conf.d/openstack.cnf and add some configuration like bind-address = 10.0.0.11 while in the file /etc/mysql/my.cnf there is bind-address = 172.0.0.1 ,, I'm asking if this is right or I must change it also as it's not included in the guide . Also if I must copy all configuration from my.cnf file to the new file that I created.

Thanks in advances and waiting your reply, Sarah
