2016-09-13 05:57:34 -0600 asked a question Deploying OpenContrail with existing Openstack

Hi all!

I need your help: I must integrate OpenContrail into my existing Openstack Mitaka deployment.

Openstack is multi node mode: Controller Node, Network Node and Compute Node.

Someone has tutorial or suggestions?

Thanks very much

2016-07-19 04:03:00 -0600 asked a question external bridge is crazy

Hi! I need your help!

Strange things happen in my Mitaka DVR setup:

My external bridge (Br-ex) has a port connected to the external network.

I can ping br-ex from external network.

I can ping br-ex from internal network.

BUT my br-ex doesn't forward packets from internal network to the external network !

For example:

[from internal network] ----> pinging br-ex is ok

[from internal network] ----> pinging 8.8.8.8 shows "Destination Host Unreachable"

What's happening?

2016-07-18 10:52:15 -0600 asked a question Can not ping external gateway, Desperated!

Hello

I very need your help!!

I'm following the Official OpenStack Mitaka guide (DVR mode). So I have 3 nodes: Controller, Network and Compute.

The problem is that I can't ping the external gateway from network node: Here the routing table of Network node:

Here my Network node, its namespaces and snat's routing table:

network@Network:~$ ip netns qdhcp-e783942b-d606-4cec-933c-f49032a68504 snat-8a9bcd73-338b-4083-90bf-669220144957 qrouter-8a9bcd73-338b-4083-90bf-669220144957

network@Network:~$ sudo ip netns exec snat-8a9bcd73-338b-4083-90bf-669220144957 route -n Tabella di routing IP del kernel Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface 0.0.0.0 192.168.116.254 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 qg-3c6f53fe-de 10.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 sg-6e48eefc-62 192.168.116.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 qg-3c6f53fe-de

I'm trying to ping the tenant router interface and I can do it!

network@Network:~$ sudo ip netns exec snat-8a9bcd73-338b-4083-90bf-669220144957 ping 192.168.116.101 PING 192.168.116.101 (192.168.116.101) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 192.168.116.101: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.115 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.116.101: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.089 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.116.101: icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.089 ms

I'm trying to ping external router interface...but I can't

network@Network:~$ sudo ip netns exec snat-8a9bcd73-338b-4083-90bf-669220144957 ping 192.168.116.254 PING 192.168.116.254 (192.168.116.254) 56(84) bytes of data. Here my etc/network/interfaces

auto eth1 iface eth1 inet static address 172.16.0.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 network 172.16.0.0 broadcast 172.16.0.255

2016-07-13 08:16:11 -0600 asked a question OpenStack Mitaka difference openvswitch_agent and ml2_agent

Hi all!

I'm new in the OpenStack world!

I've a doubt: I'm trying to install OpenStack Mitaka (controller, network, compute), but I don't know which file I have to configure in /neutron/plugins/ml2/ between "openvswitch_agent.ini" and "ml2_agent.ini".

How can I set OpenStack in order to use a specified file between "openvswitch_agent.ini" and "ml2_agent.ini" ?

Aren't equivalent?

Thank you very much! Ale
