2016-09-26 00:18:08 -0500 answered a question COA exam - openstack version

COA exam is based on Liberty release.

I passed this exam. Lot of hands on practice is required using dashboard and commandline. Remember to attempt all the question as it is little difficult to complete all the questions in 2.5 hrs. But if you practice more you can complete all the tasks.

Best of Luck.

And start packstack installation again.

2016-06-07 10:14:05 -0500 answered a question cinder create error: The server has either erred or is incapable of performing the requested operation. (HTTP 500)

Check cinder service-list all cinder services are up and check rabbitmq-server service and try restarting it. Check openstack-status all required services and up or not. Server has erred means some of required service/s are not functioning properly.

if you are using cinder backend other than lvm make sure you have entry into cinder.conf use grep enabled_backend /etc/cinder/cinder.conf and if you have other backend like rbd then make an entry after lvm,rbd and also check if you have mentioned correct volume driver information into cinder.conf file grep volume_driver driver /etc/cinder/cinder.conf Restart all cinder related service again.

2016-06-07 10:14:05 -0500 answered a question how to determine my Openstack release name

nova-manage --version is showing 12.0.0 means Liberty release as Liberty is 12th release of Openstack. Same as if you install Mitaka you will get 13.0.0.
