Maybe you found the same issue as [1]. For a 12 hrs on July 11 there was a problem w/ python-keystoneclient version as installed by horizon and it was causing issues in devstack

The processlauncher is to spin up > 1 (or 1) child processes and control them. If you were running a multi backend and had 4 backends you would have 4 processes spun up by the process launcher, and when you exited the cinder-volume it would close them all. te process launcher code does not do anything w/ the queues though, thats in the Service code.

awesome. iptables rules generally disappear upon host reboots so you need to make sure you 1) save that rule on the host, or 2) rerun it when u reboot.

U might also try ssh'ing in to the vm (assuming 10.0.0.2 is the vm ip, just ssh 10.0.0.2). Try an apt-get update. Also check /tmp/logfile.txt to see if the guest ever got up and running. Then give us your findings.
