2013-10-10 11:42:46 -0500 asked a question How to debug nova-dhcpbridge failing to propagate lease information?

I have two compute nodes, nova network and a flatDHCP model. When a node instantiates an instance it allocates an IP address for the instance, but nova-dhcpbridge does not appear to propagate details of that lease to the other Compute node. This means that DNS lookups for instances on 'the other node' fail...

Am I correct in thinking that the whole purpose of dhcpbridge is to cause the other nodes to notice instances through the /var/lib/nova/networks/nova-br100.hosts file?

Try as I may, I've been unable to understand how to cause the dhcpbridge script to write debug entries into a log. I presume that there should also be traffic via rabbitmq that I can monitor somehow.

Some clues as to what might be failing would be appreciated, as too would some advice on how to debug this issue
