2017-08-02 08:12:18 -0500 answered a question keystoneauth1.exceptions.auth.AuthorizationFailure: Authorization Failed: (http://127.0.0.1/identity/v3/tokens): The resource could not be found. (HTTP 404)

Do check, if the version of the keystoneclient matches with the version listed for the openstack release and update the client accordingly.

From the above log

File "/usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/keystoneclient/v2_0/client.py",

looks like the keystone client is pointing to V2_0 version. Set OS_IDENTITY_API_VERSION=3 while exporting the ENV variables (or add to openrc file).

Hope that helps.!

2017-03-01 06:54:08 -0500 answered a question Openstack nova API live migrate AttributeError: _action python 2.7

I think the way you are calling the API is slightly incorrect try as below:

for s in servers:
    '''
get the instance ID from the server(instance) <server ID> to be migrated
    '''
     nova.servers.live_migrate(host="oscnode1.localhost",block_migration=False,server=<server ID>)

Reference:

live_migrate(self, server, host, block_migration):
        """
Migrates a running instance to a new machine.

:param server: instance id which comes from nova list.
        :param host: destination host name.
:param block_migration: if True, do block_migration, can be set as
                                'auto'

2016-09-19 06:07:31 -0500 answered a question Changing flavors from private to public

From Horizon, Navigate to Flavors tab, click on Edit -> flavor access , uncheck all the tenants from the list.

OR

Using CLI: Get the list of tenants associated to the flavor:

nova flavor-access-list [--flavor <flavor>] [--tenant <tenant_id>]

Remove access for all the tenants associated with that flavor:

nova flavor-access-remove <flavor> <tenant_id>

<flavor> Flavor : name or ID to remove access for the given tenant. <tenant_id> Tenant ID to remove flavor access for.

2016-04-07 06:25:15 -0500 asked a question Unable to Install ceilometer with devstack liberty setup on ubuntu 15.04

Hi, I am trying to install ceilometer service using devstack liberty setup.

I have cloned devstack from git. git clone -b stable/liberty https://github.com/openstack-dev/devs...

I have referred http://docs.openstack.org/developer/ceilometer/install/development.html . But, this did not work .

I have tried installing by adding below lines in the local.conf :

# Ceilometer - Metering Service (metering + alarming)
ENABLED_SERVICES+=,ceilometer-acompute,ceilometer-acentral,ceilometer-collector,ceilometer-api
ENABLED_SERVICES+=,ceilometer-alarm-notify,ceilometer-alarm-eval

Also, I have tried installing ceilometer manually

http://docs.openstack.org/liberty/ins...

In this case, ceilometer-agent-central, ceilometer-agent-notification,ceilometer-alarm-evaluator,ceilometer-alarm-notifier services were failing and no log files were found for these services either.

Is there any other way to install ceilometer with devstack?
