2016-01-28 10:30:57 -0500 marked best answer Openstack services and port

Hi,

Is there any documentation for default ports on which openstack services listen.

I tried searching for the answer for nova & found that Nova api listens on 8773 (for EC2 API) and 8774 (for openstack API).what about other sub components services?

2015-11-24 22:58:19 -0500 commented answer Does floating IP remains static unless changed by user?

@Luigi I need to access the VM (SSH) from outside of openstack deployment hence using IP. @Ritesh thanks for confirming.

2015-11-23 05:55:37 -0500 commented answer Does floating IP remains static unless changed by user?

In an environment, I want to keep a floating IP as static to a machine which I will be referring in some scripts, I do not want the Floating IP to change hence the question.

2015-11-18 05:44:31 -0500 asked a question How to get floating IP of the guest VM using command line?

I have a CentOS 6 instance inside openstack deployment, I have also assigned a floating IP however I need to get the IP of the VM from command line inside that VM , how can I get floating IP assigned to this guest VM ? What command should be used to get floating IP?

Running ifconfig on that VM returns only the private IP?

After controller node reboot openstack-nova-api is dead & that probably causing dashboard inaccessible.

2014-07-24 10:36:20 -0500 marked best answer Has anyone tried Ubuntu 13.10 which includes Havana?

Got to know about Ubuntu Server 13.10 which includes the Havana release of OpenStack http://www.ubuntu.com/download/cloud

Has anyone tried installing this? How does it really work? Does installing OS also installs openstack services? What if i need to create multi node setup?

I really could not find much on ubuntu site hence posted the query here.
