2016-08-17 03:24:41 -0500 asked a question Fuel Deployment Error | Method Granular Deploy

I have connected 6 nodes to fuel master. Network verification tests shows successful configuration message as well. But when I click deploy, its gets 'Deployment has failed. Method granular_deploy' error soon after the installation of Ubuntu.

These are the logs:

Is it possible to have multiple vlans for a single interface?

2016-08-11 06:06:39 -0500 asked a question Problem in Fuel-OpenStack Switch Configurations

Hello,

I am trying to deploy fuel OpenStack on physical servers. All the servers have 2 NICs. First interface of all the servers is connected to a single DEDICATED switch (for PXE communication). And all the second interfaces are connected to a switch having public Internet access. One of them is a fuel master node. But after the installation of master node, Slave nodes are not discovered in web UI. I know there is some network mis-configurations in the DEDICATED switch.

My question is: what should be the network configurations for this DEDICATED switch for all nodes to get discovered and network verification test to be passed eventually. Since, I am not a domain expert so I am expecting some clarification about vlan and tagging. And what commands should I be executing on the switch (assuming it has no settings enabled at all).

  3. Update all Ips in /etc folder "grep -rl '[old IP address]' /etc | xargs sed -i 's/[old IP address]/[new IP address]/g'"
  4. Update all Ips in /opt/stack folder "grep -rl '[old IP address]' /opt/stack | xargs sed -i 's/[old IP address]/[new IP address]/g'"
  5. Restart apache2 server
  6. Run rejoin-stack.sh

  5. Restart apache2 server

These steps are not working and gives the following error on login dashboard page: "An error occurred authenticating. Please try again later."

Hello..!!

I have installed openstack from devstack. For some reasons I had to change the IP of my machine. After that, openstack is not working. And, I do not want to run stack.sh again and again. I have already done the following steps:

  1. run unstack.sh.
  2. update ip in 'url' column of 'endpoint' table in 'keystone' database.
  3. (Change ip in all file in /etc dir) grep -rl '[old IP address]' /etc | xargs sed -i 's/[old IP address]/[new IP address]/g'
  4. (Change ip in all file in /opt/stack dir) grep -rl '[old IP address]' /opt/stack | xargs sed -i 's/[old IP address]/[new IP address]/g'
  5. start apache2 server run
  6. rejoin-stack.sh

But its not working. Login Page gives the following error "An error occurred authenticating. Please try again later."

Can anybody suggest, what I am missing here?
