2017-12-19 08:03:13 -0600 answered a question Configure VNC console with external IP address

Follow these steps to enable VNC on VM i did for CentOS VM

  1. CentOS-7 "Minimal Install" VM (no Desktop System)
  2. yum groupinstall "X Window System"
  3. yum groupinstall "Fonts"
  4. yum install kde-workspace
  5. yum install gdm
  6. unlink /etc/systemd/system/default.target
  7. ln -sf /lib/systemd/system/graphical.target /etc/systemd/system/default.target
  8. reboot OR (systemctl isolate graphical.target)

now you can create VNC server instance on the VM using "vncserver" command

It will create VNC instance for example VM1-hostname:1 where VM1-hostname is your VM public ip By using this "VM public ip:1" on VNC client you will be able to access VM from remote system

After hours of struggle i realized that
this path "/var/lock/cinder" where cinder was a file not a directory
(worngly created as file)
so deleted file and created cinder dir

mkdir /var/lock/cinder
chmod 777 /var/lock/cinder/
chown -R cinder:cinder /var/lock/cinder/

[root@controller ~]# ls -lrt /var/lock/
total 0
drwxrwxr-x 2 root   lock    40 Jun 27 13:41 lockdev
drwx------ 2 root   root    60 Jun 22 15:15 iscsi

drwxrwxrwx 2 cinder cinder  40 Jul  1 10:15 cinder
drwx------ 2 root   root    40 Jun 27 17:41 lvm

After that able to do successfull volume attach

Make sure you have exported auth token and OS_URL properly

export OS_TOKEN=<Random-key>
export OS_URL=http://controller:35357/v2.0

Where controller is your controller hostname

you can verify the above commands with "env" on your machine

This may be help
Because of small typo i was getting this error

Q_FLOATING_ALLOCATION_POOL="start=10.130.98.190, end=10.130.98.197"
In the above entry there was a gap betwwen start and end ips
i corrected that
Q_FLOATING_ALLOCATION_POOL="start=10.130.98.190,end=10.130.98.197"

2016-08-03 09:50:17 -0600 asked a question dashboard webpage not accessed with http 500 error
dashboard webpage not accessed with http 500 error

I have googled and found some help but no use

I have tried below mentioned help

I noticed ALLOWED_HOSTS in the dashboard settings is still commented out, you might want to remove the leading pound sign (#) and restart httpd.

I think that you can have some troubles the configuration of SELinux. Have you already tried to completely disable SELinux?

Please write

#SELINUX=enforcing
SELINUX=disabled
in /etc/selinux/config and than reboot the controller node; if, after that, you can login in the dashboard, you definitely have some troubles with the configuration on SELinux.

Thanks  dbaxps
files has correct permissions

Found solution for this
As i was using root privileges
I need to change the below mentioned in qemu.conf
to get permissions for launching VM

Change the file in both controller and compute
     vi /etc/libvirt/qemu.conf
     #user = root  -> user = root
     #group = "root" - > group = "root"

now restart libvirtd service
     systemctl restart libvirtd.service
