As stated- on controller node service installed- nova-api,nova-cert,nova-conductor,nova-consoleauth,nova-novncproxy,nova-scheduler. only nova-api,nova-cert does not running. On compute node nova-api-meatdata,nova-network, nova-compute installed but not running. Log are given. from logs what will be the issue ?

Please help me - Issue description : I install havana ( with nova-network as i am very new to it) 1 controller node and 1 compute node. This topology and script i used to install grizzly which got installed. So very minor changes in script were made. Now for havana few minor changes i made in conf files -

Nova.conf - [database] connection is used rather sql_connection Cinder - Same as nova.conf. Nova.Conf file shown below of this post

Now when I launch script it runs and on controller service shown using nova-manage service list

Binary Host Zone Status State Updated_At

Same way on compute Node script runs well but nova-compute, nova-network,nova-meata-api does not start. When restarted service on controller node result is like below-

**root@control:/etc# cd /etc/init.d/; for i in $( ls nova-* ); do sudo service $i restart; done**
*stop: Unknown instance:
nova-api start/running, process 4497
stop: Unknown instance:
nova-cert start/running, process 4508
nova-conductor stop/waiting
nova-conductor start/running, process 4519
nova-consoleauth stop/waiting
nova-consoleauth start/running, process 4530
nova-novncproxy stop/waiting
nova-novncproxy start/running, process 4541
nova-scheduler stop/waiting
nova-scheduler start/running, process 4556*

so i find nova-api, nova-cert, nova-network,nova-metadata-api services are not running. though rabbitmq is restarted and status success. Now the Log and Conf files- Log first

2013-09-30 03:24:30 -0500 asked a question Can someone share working ceilometer.conf file after installing manually

I install ceilometer manually. I need a working ceilometer.conf file with uncommented values for the options as there are lot of options which can cause possible error in running ceilometer.

how can i check the ceilometer matrics or stats captured by ceilometer on horizon or by command line ?

2013-08-14 14:26:56 -0500 asked a question Boot failed. not a bootable disk.

I successfully launched an instance. However, I could not ping or ssh into that running instance. By viewing the instance's console log, I found out that

Booting from hard disk
Boot failed. not a bootable disk
Booting from ROM
DHCP (net0: fa:16:3e:3e: 23:aa:bd)
No more network drivers
Booting from floppy
Boot failed. Could not read from the boot disk.
No boot table device

Openstack dashboard shows that the instance is running without any errors (status is Active). What is wrong about the image? why it is running but its log is saying it is not bootable?
