2015-12-03 19:45:23 -0600 asked a question Create openstack environment on one physical network

I am trying to create a kilo test environment running on top of xen (controller, network, and compute are VMs). At this point I cannot have mutliple networks and I am planning to use 1 network for everything (management, compute, and etc) on neutron. I tried to find correct configuration for this type of environment but there is nothing on OpenStack docs site. I am wondering if anyone can provide some instructions. Unfortunately devstack does not meet my needs. I appreciate all the help in advance!

2015-10-05 13:47:29 -0600 answered a question How to fix 'Something went wrong!" kilo dashboard issue?

It appears that there is a https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1218894 (bug) I ran into similar issue. As a "quick and dirty" fix try to access dashboard in Private Mode of your browser or delete cookies from previous sessions. The best thing is update your python-django-openstack-auth-1.2.0-2 python-django-horizon-2015.1.0-6.el7 package

Hi I spent 3 days trying to figure out "No valid host was found. There are not enough hosts available. " error and I am still not able to determine the root cause. I am running OpenStack Kilo on 3 Xen based VMs [controller, network, and compute node]. When I am trying to create a VM I get the following output in dashboard:

2015-10-01 18:23:53 -0600 asked a question neutron agent-list command gives empy response

Hi,

I setting up openstack kilo on centos7 and I am running into problems verifying successful installation of neuton node. When I am running neutron agent-list on the controller nothing comes up.

These are my configs:

network node:

[DEFAULT]
 rpc_backend = rabbit
 core_plugin = ml2
 service_plugins = router
 allow_overlapping_ips = True
 verbose = True

[oslo_messaging_rabbit]
rabbit_host = 10.17.0.212
rabbit_userid = openstack
rabbit_password = password
auth_strategy = keystone

[keystone_authtoken]
auth_uri = http://10.17.0.212:5000
auth_url = http://10.17.0.212:35357
auth_plugin = password
project_domain_id = default
user_domain_id = default
project_name = service
username = neutron
password = password

ml2_conf.ini

enter code here
[ml2]
type_drivers = flat
tenant_network_types = flat
mechanism_drivers = openvswitch

[ml2_type_flat]
flat_networks = external

[ml2_type_gre]
tunnel_id_ranges = 1:1000

[securitygroup]
enable_security_group = True
enable_ipset = True
firewall_driver = neutron.agent.linux.iptables_firewall.OVSHybridIptablesFirewallDriver

[ovs]
local_ip = 10.0.1.11
bridge_mappings = external:br-ex

[agent]
tunnel_types = flat

Any reasons why this behavior exists? How should I troubleshoot this issue?

I can provide additional config info

2015-09-08 19:57:40 -0600 asked a question error creating endpoint

I am working on setting up controller for openstack on CENTOS7. When I am trying to run: openstack endpoint create --debug --publicurl http://<IP>:5000/v2.0 --internalurl http://<IP>:5000/v2.0 --adminurl http://<IP>:35357/v2.0 --region RegionOne identity
I am getting ERROR:openstack output.

When I ran it with --debug option I got the following output: http://paste.openstack.org/show/451048/

This is my first OpenStack setup. Your help is appreciated.

So instead of pointing new users into right directions you just simply close my request w/o any explanations (great first impression BTW)??? Additionally as first time OpenStack user, I do not know what debugging info I need to provide. It would be nice to know what exactly you are looking for...
