2015-11-09 04:28:11 -0500 commented answer cinder-api not starting

netstat -ntlp | grep 8776 doesn't actually return anything. I think this is because cinder-api doesn't start due to the above error. Running netstat -tupnl shows that the port 8776is not listening. Any other ideas

2015-11-06 08:36:23 -0500 asked a question cinder-api not starting

When starting cinder [Kilo] on my machine the cinder-api is showing the following error:

What would be the best way to debug this issue?

2015-11-02 08:55:10 -0500 asked a question kubectl cannot connect to kube_master

Running on a Devstack (stable/kilo) build I am having trouble connecting to my kube_master via kubectl.

$>:heat output-show HudsonBay-r3ulde4aljsf kube_master
"172.24.4.16"

$>:heat output-show HudsonBay-r3ulde4aljsf kube_minions_external
[
  "172.24.4.17",
  "172.24.4.18"
]

$>:kubectl config view
apiVersion: v1
clusters: []
contexts: []
current-context: ""
kind: Config
preferences: {}
users: []

$>:export KUBERNETES_MASTER=http://$(nova list | grep kube_master | awk '{print $13}'):8080
http://172.24.4.16:8080

$>:kubectl get pods
Error: an error on the server has prevented the request from succeeding (get pods)

$>:kubectl get minions
Error: an error on the server has prevented the request from succeeding (get minions)

But if I ssh into the Master directly I can run kubectl commands perfectly.

$>:ssh minion@172.24.4.16
[minion@hudsonbay-r3ulde4aljsf-kube-master-2dpa3rlkecl7 ~]$ kubectl get minions

2015-10-22 10:07:58 -0500 commented answer In devstack install, n-cpu is prompting for password. What is the password or configuration that I'm missing?

Do this by entering sudo usermod -a -G libvirtd <your username>

2015-10-07 12:15:24 -0500 asked a question openstack image create freezes devstack installation

when running a devstack installation the installation stops at the following line:

openstack --os-cloud=devstack-admin image create fedora-21-atomic-5 --public --container-format=bare --disk-format qcow2 < /opt/stack/devstack/files/fedora-21-atomic-5.qcow2

How can I get this to work, not including the < /opt/stack... does work, but including it breaks it (which is what is in the installation)

Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Any updates to this? Still having this trouble?
