If you had added the new field via project property, you should be able to get it back via python-keystoneclient (keystoneclient.projects.get(project_id) which will return the whole project object). You just need to be properly authorized on the get() operation depending on the Keystone policy.

2015-07-10 14:42:22 -0600 asked a question usefulness of Keystone /v3/credentials

Keystone v3 provides the /v3/credentials APIs to manage credentials; however it is not clear to me how the credentials may be used in services such as nova, glance, etc. For example, if I had created an ec2 type credential using the POST /v3/credentials API, how might the created credential be used in (say) nova or some other service later? I couldn't seem to find code that actually makes use of the v3 credentials. If it's not used by any service, how is it supposed to be used and by what applications?
