2017-09-11 23:34:28 -0600 asked a question Backup and restore for openstack with kubernetes

Does Freezer support backup and restore for kubernetes deployed on top of openstack too? Are there any tools that could help me backup and restore my kubernetes cluster deployed on openstack?

2017-08-21 23:01:16 -0600 commented answer Can not access the dashboard address of devstack.

I have edited my answer. Have a look and let me know if it works.

2017-08-21 05:06:58 -0600 answered a question Can not access the dashboard address of devstack.

Give this a try In the file: /opt/stack/openstack/horizon/blob/master/openstack_dashboard/local/local_settings.py Uncomment the line below and accordingly add your host IP

ALLOWED_HOSTS=['YOUR_HOST_IP'],

Then probably you can Restart apache webserver with sudo service apache2 restartThen check if it works on the browser: http://YOUR_HOST_IP/dashboard

2017-08-21 04:58:23 -0600 commented question Problem in installing Devstack on Ubuntu Server Job for devstack@etcd.service failed because the control process exited with error code.

As you have in your subject, Try the command journalctl -xe. It gives detailed output. Maybe you can paste the output here and someone can help. Currently your question is too broad.

2017-08-21 04:54:44 -0600 commented question Can both nodes of an openstack installation be the same physical server?

Depends on your use case. Are you installing OpenStack for testing, development or production scenario?

2017-08-21 00:56:37 -0600 commented answer Working of Kubernetes on OpenStack

What i mean to say is that OpenStack and Kubernetes are 2 different services. So user can only use one at a time.

2017-08-20 23:58:01 -0600 commented answer Working of Kubernetes on OpenStack

Thanks for that. So that means if my user wants to access Kubernetes, then the user will not be able to access underlying openstack to spin up instances. For this the user will have to use Openstack directly. Am I making any sense?
