2019-11-25 09:18:43 -0500 asked a question getting "MessagingTimeout: Timed out waiting for a reply to message ID ' while creating new instance in new rocky installation

We created new openstack cluster with kolla-ansible rocky release. I am able to create new networks, images. but we are getting message timeout while creating instance. I even tried with single node to eliminate any network issues and still getting same issue.

2015-05-13 12:30:10 -0500 asked a question neutron connectivity between private networks

I am trying to setup neutron network using vlan as follows.

Admin project: net1 - shared (used host route to go to net2) router1 - connected to external network and gateway of net1 vm1 - connected to net1

user_poeject1: net2 - private router2 - connected to gateway of net2 and second IP on net1 vm2 - connected to net2

I can ping all the IPs in net2 from vm1.

but from vm2, I can ping only vm1 IP, not the gateway of net1 or external network IPs.

can you please let me know what is missing in this setup. why can't I go to external network from net2 via router2 -> router1 -> external network?

2015-05-12 11:59:17 -0500 asked a question How to use allocation pools to use different range of IPs in different projects from same shared network

We created one big shared network and want to use different rage IPs from this network in different projects. we are using neutron with vlan.
