2014-04-23 23:38:20 -0500 answered a question Caught CRITICAL keystone [-] ImportError: No module named psycopg2

This was resolved by installing following packages.

yum install python-devel
yum install python-psycopg2

Is there any specific reason this lib is not included in installation prerequisites?

2014-04-23 23:31:29 -0500 asked a question Caught CRITICAL keystone [-] ImportError: No module named psycopg2

Hi All,

With latest Icehouse release if the user is trying to use postgresql instead of mysql following error is thrown while configuring Keystone.

CRITICAL keystone [-] ImportError: No module named psycopg2

Installing postgresql-lib is not helping here, what is the corrective action to be taken and cant we include this package in the prerequisites?

Thanks

You cannot install Havana or any future release on any version lower than Centos 6.x. But you can rebuild the source rpm's and configure it, its a tedious task if you don't have a way out then rebuild the srpms it.

I don't have much experience in nova, tho in case of cinder if you have rebooted the appliance. Make sure the volume service is up and the cinder-volume is available.

Hi,

Is there a way to perform integration testing only on Keystone and Cinder with the help of Tempest? Any document available out there to help me out?

Thanks

1. Check the logs.
2. Make sure cinder-volume is available with the help of pvscan.
3. Make sure cinder volume service is up and running with driver you are working.

2013-12-11 09:01:41 -0500 asked a question Re-initializing or dynamically configuring cinder driver?

Hi All,

At present cinder driver can be only configured with adding entries in conf file. Once these driver related entries are modified or added in conf file, we need to restart cinder-volume service to validate the conf entries and create a child process that runs in background.

I am thinking of a way to re-initialize or dynamically configure cinder driver. So that I can accept the configuration from user on fly and perform operations. I think solution lies somewhere around "oslo.config.cfg", but I am still unclear about how re-initializing can be achieved.

Let know if anyone here is aware of any approach to re-initialize or dynamically configure a driver.

2013-07-22 21:59:02 -0500 answered a question Grizzly glance authentication fails

Check if identity for glance was created under keystone and appropriate credentials were entered in glance-api.conf and glance-registry.conf:

admin_tenant_name=
admin_user=
admin_password=

Make sure glance-api-paste.ini & glance-registry-paste.ini has following entry:

[filter:authtoken]
paste.filter_factory = keystoneclient.middleware.auth_token:filter_factory
delay_auth_decision = true

Make sure glance-registry-paste.ini has following entry:

[pipeline:glance-registry-keystone]
pipeline = authtoken context registryapp

Restart both glance-api & glance-registry services. Now you should be able to access glance service from horizon.

You can also check out /var/log/cinder/cinder-*.log files for more information.
