2017-03-26 10:36:31 -0600 commented answer What is TripleO QuickStart's quickstart.sh correct command to initiate minimal/ha deployment ?

Works for me. Just read README.rst. Thanks

2017-03-22 14:06:21 -0600 asked a question What is TripleO QuickStart's quickstart.sh correct command to initiate minimal/ha deployment ?

I've noticed changes been done to folder tripleo-quckstart/config/general_config due to recent git commits, splitting features and topology/nodes into different files. But release notes don't contain any sample of new deployment quickstart.sh commands. Any clues ?

2017-02-06 11:45:26 -0600 commented answer What would happen if there was no Heat (Orchestration) in OpenStack?

No luck with using pip install when package has not been packaged with RDO due to broken dependencies.

2017-02-06 11:31:14 -0600 commented answer What would happen if there was no Heat (Orchestration) in OpenStack?

Attempt to setup Sahara Caldera 5.0.4 Hadoop cluster on RDO CentOS 7.3. fails and does work when using RHEL 7.X RDO packaging. See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug....
Thus your ability to benefit from heat Sahara deployments is significantly dependent on legal RHEL RDO

2017-02-06 11:19:40 -0600 commented answer What would happen if there was no Heat (Orchestration) in OpenStack?

In other words issues mentioned in thread at http://alesnosek.com/blog/2016/06/26/... initiated by dbaxps are reproducible at least for myself. Imports succeed on RHEL 7.X RDO packaging.

2017-02-06 11:14:26 -0600 commented answer What would happen if there was no Heat (Orchestration) in OpenStack?

Did you test successfully Magnum or Kubernetes heat deployment on RDO CentOS 7.3 rather then RHEL 7.3 RDO packaging ?
.I was hit twice by heat build import errors ( converted by upstream to warnings),
Bug originally filed here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug....

2016-08-14 08:57:32 -0600 commented answer triple0 localhost ssh fail

As far as to my knowledge RH is working on cold backup/restore for virtual version of QuickStart.
Question with replacing failed Controller in HA (PCS/Corosync) Cluster stays in BZ as RFE with no feed backs so far. TripleO Mitaka/Stable deployments on bare metal are experiencing hard issues

2016-08-14 08:46:52 -0600 commented answer triple0 localhost ssh fail

This way everything works as well , but versus QS you clearly see every step during the way to deploy overcloud (virtual env). Moreover Pacemaker CLI appears to work ( which comes up dead in QiuckStart), but HA Cluster been built is not quite stable as in case of QS.

2016-08-14 08:41:08 -0600 commented answer triple0 localhost ssh fail

Tripleo QuickStart seems to make some smart choice of point in same trunk , but different from mitaka/current
Most probably it takes the most recent branch current/passed-ci. Approach suggested in posting to lxer.com principally differs from QuickStart. The instack-virt-setup is used.

2016-08-13 01:50:07 -0600 answered a question triple0 localhost ssh fail

I would guess python-tripleoclient is installed , if it is not installed then install it and follow standard instructions
http://docs.openstack.org/developer/t...
either see http://lxer.com/module/newswire/view/... to avoid issue with Network Isolation silently skipped in upstream instructions .

2016-06-02 13:03:04 -0600 asked a question How to increase number of compute nodes doing TripleO QuickStart Deployment (RDO) ?

I try to reproduce setup per https://simplenfv.wordpress.com/2016/...
and update minimal template as follows

 # Define a single controller node and a single compute node.
overcloud_nodes:
  - name: control_0
    flavor: control

  - name: compute_0
    flavor: compute

  - name: compute_1
    flavor: compute

but I still get 1 Controller and 1 Compute node deployed in overcloud ( no errors reported )

2016-05-13 13:00:20 -0600 asked a question Is it possible to create libvirt network on F23 or CentOS 7.X which would convert untagged ingress traffic to vlan 100 and strip this tag forwarding packets outside via virbr(X) ?

Question is closely connected with testing cloud VMs (L2) on F23 VirtHost
One more time the question is
How make ingress traffic from outside converted from flat to vlan tagged 100 and convert egress traffic from vlan tagged 100 to untagged (e.g. flat ) forwarding packets via virbr libvirt bridge ?
In other words virbr ( or whatever name of libvirt's network bridge is ) should add vlan tag 100 to ingress flat traffic
and strip this tag for egress ( outgoing traffic ) ?

2016-03-22 04:10:42 -0600 commented answer Release-Date of Packstack for mitaka?

Yes, hack into endpoint table works same way as deprecated delete. Good job, however.
No offense, but I believe hackery is kinda way of life for yourself.

2016-03-22 03:59:24 -0600 commented answer Instances with large images sometimes fail to start/spawn

Required commands work for Liberty and Kilo I've placed into answer field.

2016-03-18 11:41:45 -0600 answered a question Instances with large images sometimes fail to start/spawn

First issue is running Kilo on CentOS 6.6
Second issue setting Swift on Controllers instead of setting up at least one Separate Swift Node ( even all in one )
I would suggest set up Swift Node ( all in one ) and :-

$ keystone endpoint-list | grep 8080
$ keystone endpoint-delete <id>
$ openstack endpoint create --publicurl "http://New-IP:8080/v1/AUTH_\$(tenant_id)s"  \
          --adminurl "http://New-IP:8080/v1" \
          --internalurl "http://New-IP:8080/v1/AUTH_\$(tenant_id)s" --region RegionOne swift
$ service httpd restart

You wrote "unless you can convince me that packstack is production ready"
That is correct packstack is not recommended for production deployments ( officially )
Officially TripleO is recommended for RDO deployment in production. Please, follow

2016-03-03 05:03:51 -0600 answered a question how does ml2 work specifically?

Regarding you major concern see
http://aqorn.com/understanding-openst...
Take a look also at this old link https://www.rdoproject.org/networking...
Neutron Server is actually Neutron API Server to provide ML2 features to it's ovs agent running on Compute,
it should be first updated itself ( in old times) . In meantime Neutron Server comes ready to provide ML2 aware
API for neutron-openvswitch-agent

2016-02-25 03:41:15 -0600 asked a question How to setup SWIFT_PROXY_NODE and SWIFT_STORAGE_NODEs separately on RDO Liberty ?

The most recent RDO releases Liberty and Kilo allow to setup Storage Node running all swift service at a time.
I do need real Swift HA deployment ( just manually )
I've tried to follow
1. http://www.server-world.info/en/note?...
No luck
2. Upstream link http://docs.openstack.org/liberty/ins...
Fails to register swift endpoints with keystone, requiring each time presence of "--publicurl"
Like this :

openstack endpoint create --publicurl "http://controller.com:8080/v1/AUTH_\$(tenant_id)s" --adminurl http://controller:8080/v1" --internalurl "http://controller:8080/v1/AUTH_\$(tenant_id)s" --region RegionOne swift

Does it exist clear and reproducible instructions for RDO Liberty ?

I believe that packstack support for such kind of swift deployment was deprecated after IceHouse release and don't understand "WHY"?

I've also noticed that critical *.conf files generated by packstack for single Storage Node are too much different
from the ones proposed by first link
