How to replace fuel master node

Hi,

I'm at early stage of absorbing OpenStack knowledge at the moment and have tried successfully deploying Mirantis OpenStack without problems to understand the basics.

It might be a silly question but I'm really puzzeled how the HA works, so anyone can help me out: it seems I can add multiple nodes for the OpenStack nodes (such as compute nodes)

Q1. How will the compute node achieve HA when one instance fails in a compute host?

Q2. I have understood the basics that Fuel master node is only used for deploying OpenStack. However if the fuel master node failed (e.g. the server got physically damaged), 1) will the OpenStack environment be damaged anyhow? 2) will I be able to recreate the Fuel node easily as part of disaster recovery?

Many thanks!
