n00b querion regarding storage

Hi @all,

I\'m a newbie in Op[enstack world and I'd like to apologize if this was asked before so i ask you to please bear with me on this one.

I've istalled Openstack using packstack on a single node with the following specs

CentOS 7 minimal 16GNB RAM Core i5 CPU 1 SSD (LVM OS) 2 1TB HDDs in RAID1 array (LVM PV empty, for storage)

I've read the nova and glance files namely "filesystem_store_datadir" for image and instance storage paths.

I want to use the 900+ GiB for image and instance storage, after I changed these parameters and rebooted the instances won't start.

Can anyone point me into the right direction so I can use this storage for the purpose I mean to?.

I ended up uninstalling everything with the remove script from re Hat docs, then I editing the packstack-answers file like this:

CONFIG_CINDER_BACKEND=lvm CONFIG_CINDER_VOLUMES_CREATE=y (not sure if use this one or not) CONFIG_CINDER_VOLUMES_SIZE=440G (UI wnat to dedicate 400G to images and 400G to instances' volumes) CONFIG_SWIFT_STORAGES=/dev/md125 (my RAID1 900GiB volume) CONFIG_SWIFT_STORAGE_FSTYPE=xfs

After running packstack with these settings everything went OK and I now have these mount points
