Kilo MySQL mysqld_openstack.cnf on Ubuntu

Trying to install Kilo on Ubuntu 14.04 multi-node environment I encountered with the following in the documentation "Create and edit the /etc/mysql/conf.d/mysqld_openstack.cnf file and complete the following actions" I suspect that the instructions should be

  1. cp /etc/mysql/my.cnf /etc/mysql/conf.d/mysqld_openstack.cnf
  2. Edit mysqld_openstack.cnf with the following [mysqld] bind-address = default-storage-engine = innodb innodb_file_per_table collation-server = utf8_general_ci init-connect = 'SET NAMES utf8' character-set-server = utf8

Anyone encountered with the same issue? If so, what workaround you used?
