Create images manually - OpenStack documentation question

I'm new to OpenStack and I'm learning how to create images for it.

There are two instructions in docs, describing how to create Ubuntu and CentOs images manually, using installation iso-files and some command line stuff.

I started with Ubuntu, dealing with 12.04.5, 14.04.2 and 14.10 iso-images. Generally, the instruction given in docs is worked, and I'm now able to run my self-made images in OpenStack, but no one of them print anything to OpenStack console.

I looked thru the CentOs image creation instruction, and there is "Configure console" section there - I guess that is the thing I missing for my Ubuntu images.

So, the question is: should I consider the situation, wheh there are no such section on Ubuntu image creation page, as documentation's bug (so I will submit it to launchpad), or I just did something wrong?
