How to:make instance launch at an original state which we want it always be?

Thank you for your attention!
I have built the OpenStack successfully. And I find it is great that the VMs record what I've done on them as real computers. What I'm thinking about now is whether it is possible to make instances do not record what I've done?
For example,I've done some work on an VM and shut it down, when I launch the instance again,it is completely new as if it is spawned just now.
