### Configuring /etc/network/interfaces

Hello!

First of all sorry for noob question and my english I'm really interested in openstack and cloud-technologies but i'm not very experienced user of lunux I want to create a very mini-cloud at my home using my home network, routes asus rt-g32 and laptop

Reading documentation chapter how to configure conrtol node I had this situation: I installed vmware workstation, ubuntu 12.04 on it. I have lo, eth0 and wlan0 interfaces. I'm using wlan0 to connect to router, so i can surf the net, and actually I don't use eht0, but it works

In docs I found

Edit /etc/network/interfaces

Internal Network
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static

External Network
auto eth1
iface eth1 inet static
gateway 10.0.0.1
dns-nameservers 8.8.8.8

And I got that question So, I wanted to ask you, how should i configure this on my laptop? Which interfaces should i use to configure it right?

Thank you!
