No internet connection on openstack instance installed on virtualbox?

Host OS: ubuntu-desktop 14.04 x86_64 3 Node Architecture (compute, controller, network) with ubuntu-server-14.04 x86_64 VirtualBox 4.3.10_ubuntu

I have followed this juno installation guide and got ideas on openstack networking from this article.

Network configuration on virtualbox for Network Node

eth0 NAT

eth3 bridge

I have assigned vsc-vsctl add-port br-ex to eth3

I am able to ping and ssh my instance from host and nodes, nodes have internet connection, nodes can ping and ssh other nodes, I can ping external gateway and qrouter from network node from host, nodes and instances. I have created security-group-rule and tried /sbin/iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE and other similar commands to no avail. Are there any other troubleshooting steps that I need to perform? Is it even possible to simulate a production like openstack on virtualbox?

I have followed this juno installation guide, I've setup my virtuabox environment similar to the instruction from this link and got ideas on openstack networking from this article.
