How to Configure Cinder for Equallogic

Hi,

I am an OpenStack virgin and hoping for some help with getting block storage working, I am trying to use the eqlx driver I found here https://github.com/openstack/cinder/blob/master/cinder/volume/drivers/eqlx.py

I copy the file into here /usr/share/pyshared/cinder/volume/drivers#

and then change my cinder.conf file to use the newly uploaded driver volume_driver=cinder.volume.drivers.eqlx.DellEQLSanISCSIDriver

san_ip=san-ip san_login=username san_password=password

However I am not successful and the error in the cinder-volume log show that there is no 'eqlx' module installed

service_name=service_name) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/cinder/service.py", line 343, in __init__ args, *kwargs) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/cinder/volume/manager.py", line 129, in __init__ configuration=self.configuration) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/cinder/openstack/common/importutils.py", line 40, in import_object return import_class(import_str)(args, *kwargs) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/cinder/openstack/common/importutils.py", line 30, in import_class __import__(mod_str) ImportError: No module named eqlx

I haven't set up any other volume types like LVM locally or anything - what am I doing wrong? I know a lot of people have this working but couldn't find a guide on how to install drivers for Cinder, so I'm pretty much guessing.

any pointers are greatly appreciated.

all the best Rob.
