Icehouse install guide: how is external interface accessible if default gateway is on management interface?

Hi, I'm following the Ubuntu 12.04/14.04 Installation Guide (Icehouse). On this section:

http://docs.openstack.org/icehouse/install-guide/install/apt/content/basics-networking-neutron.html

It specifies that the default gateway is set to 10.0.0.1 on the management interface.

Shouldn't the default gateway be on the external interface for public access from the Internet, etc?

Icehouse install guide: how is external interface accessible if default gateway is on management interface?

Hi, I'm following the Ubuntu 12.04/14.04 Installation Guide (Icehouse). In the section:

'Basic Environment Configuration' > 'Networking' > 'Openstack Networking (Neutron)'

It specifies that the default gateway is set to 10.0.0.1 route passes through the management interface for the controller, network, and compute nodes. For example on the configuration page for the Controller node it says:

Configure the first interface as the management interface.

interface: IP address: 10.0.0.11 Network mask: 255.255.255.0 (or /24) Default gateway: 10.0.0.1

Shouldn't the default gateway be on the external interface for public access from the Internet, etc?
